Overview
The Chagga Waterfall — sometimes called the Materuni Waterfall — flows from the forested slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro near the village of Materuni, reached via a scenic walk through Chagga coffee plantations and banana groves. The falls drop into a deep pool surrounded by ferns and mossy rocks, ideal for swimming after the hike up. The trail combines naturally with a Chagga cultural tour including traditional coffee bean processing and a cup of freshly brewed Kilimanjaro coffee at the village.
