Overview
Ruaha National Park is Tanzania's largest national park, stretching across 20,226 km² of dramatic wilderness in the central highlands. The park straddles the transition zone between East and Southern African wildlife, meaning you can encounter species from both regions — kudu, roan antelope and sable alongside lion, leopard, wild dog and some of Tanzania's largest elephant herds. The remoteness and low tourist density make it one of Africa's best wilderness experiences.
