Overview
The Udzungwa Mountains form part of the Eastern Arc Mountains — one of the world's biodiversity hotspots. The national park protects some of the largest intact blocks of montane rainforest in East Africa and is home to numerous endemic species found nowhere else, including the Udzungwa red colobus monkey. The Sanje Waterfalls (170 m) are a spectacular hiking highlight, and the park offers multi-day forest treks for serious hikers.
