About Arusha National Park
Arusha National Park sits within easy reach of Arusha town and offers a surprisingly diverse wildlife experience in a compact area. The park surrounds Mount Meru (4,566 m), Africa's fifth-highest peak, which provides excellent acclimatisation trekking before Kilimanjaro. The Momela Lakes attract flocks of flamingos, and the park is one of the best places in Tanzania for guided walking safaris alongside giraffes, buffalos and colobus monkeys.
