Overview
Chumbe Island Coral Park is one of the most successful marine conservation projects in the Indian Ocean, a private nature reserve off the southwest coast of Zanzibar protecting one of the last pristine coral reef ecosystems in East Africa. The reef is home to over 370 coral species and 500 fish species, including whale sharks, turtles, and roseate terns nesting on the island. Seven eco-bungalows built entirely from natural materials offer an exclusive overnight stay in one of the most environmentally responsible luxury lodges in Africa.
