Overview
Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park is Zanzibar's only national park, protecting the island's last significant tract of indigenous forest and its rare endemic wildlife. The park is home to the Zanzibar red colobus monkey — found nowhere else on earth — and allows close encounters on guided forest walks. The adjacent mangrove boardwalk passes through one of the most intact mangrove systems on the Tanzanian coast.
